Description
I was at the park that Larry and Darrell first showed me in Palm City, Florida, and I was getting hot as the morning deepened. There was not much going on and I was just thinking of packing it in and going home when this Northern Cardinal suddenly flew out and landed on the observation deck to the marsh. I shot a shadowy shot of him there and then he flew to the reeds in full sunlight. Cardinals have never been so cooperative as this one. I thanked him as he flew off. Cardinalis cardinalis

Awesome composition of this gorgeous Cardinal, William. Wonderful detail and color! I am usually gifted as you were when I think of packing up and heading home. Miracles do happen!
