Description
It was very early, on a late October morning, when I ran across this old schoolhouse along M22 in Northern Michigan. It's the Port Oneida Historic Schoolhouse, and it is part of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The sun was just starting to backlight the row of sugar maples on the property. There is no more beautiful place on earth, in my humble opinion, than "Up-North" Michigan in the autumn.
