Artist's Description

Originally built for Catherine 1st, as a summer home in 1717. It is now open to the public, to tour its fantastic architecture and more importantly the beautiful works of art. Just be careful how closely you lean in to examine the paintings. I was getting a bit close with the lean, (to check out brushstroke techniques) and I received some stern looks and a warning or two from the tough looking elderly ladies who were the docents at the museum.
